JOHN (JANCO) TYDIK It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of John Tydik on January 2, 2014. John was 85 years of age when he passed away at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg. He will be lovingly remembered and survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathe, brother Ondry Tydik (Celca), sister-in-law Hannelore Thanner, nephews Norbert Albrecht (Christa), Peter Tydik (Cecilia), Stefan Kutka, Marek Kutka (Nancy Bettcher), niece Katarina Brown (Randy), as well as nephews and nieces in Slovakia. John was predeceased by his parents and brother. Born in Slovakia, John moved to Germany where he met and married Kathe. In 1953, they moved to Winnipeg where they enjoyed the next 60 years together. John spent 28 years of his working life as a Liner for Canadian Bronze before a well-deserved retirement. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home with a private family interment at a later date.
