EDUARDO (EDDIE) DELA CRUZ Peacefully on January 1, 2014, with his family by his side, Eduardo (Eddie) dela Cruz passed away at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 67. Eddie will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Nita, three daughters Melanie Joy (Jeff) Doneza, Joanna (Cuong) Tran, Jocelyn (Ken) Urrutia and grandchildren Jaiden, Alyssa, Lucas, and Kennedy. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Julie, Ireneo, Menaldo of Winnipeg and Lino, Rey, Tome of The Philippines and their families. He also leaves behind his nephew Lenard (Armalyn) Magsino and niece Len-Len Magsino, to whom he was a father figure to, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a large extended family. He will be remembered by many for his sense of humour and enjoyed spending time with friends at "the big house". Lamay (viewing) will take place from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday, January 8 and Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at St. Peter's Catholic Church 748 Keewatin Street. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in MICU at Health Sciences Centre, the ER at Seven Oaks Hospital, Cardiac Centre at St. Boniface Hospital, and CancerCare Manitoba.
