DILLON BUNDY Peacefully on January 4, 2013, at the St. Boniface Hospital the world's greatest dad was taken to heaven. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his daughters Lana Vogelsang and Tanya Bundy, the mother of his children and friend Dale; his grandchildren: Payton, Braydon, Gracie, Mason, Dillon and Lucas; his sisters Wendy and Patricia, as well as many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Maureen. Growing up he loved track and field, camping in the Whiteshell and had a great passion for music. He also enjoyed coaching his girls in softball. Dad, thank you for showing us courage and strength. Thank you for loving us. Popi, we all aspire to be just like you. In lieu of flowers, Dad would have wanted people to pay it forward, help someone in need, be a great friend, or a shoulder to cry on. A come and go reception will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. • I guess it must be true, only the good die young. Dillon was one of the best men, father, husband you could ever want to meet. He loved his children and was a great father to them. I can still remember in his younger days when Lana and Tanya didn't want to get up for school and Dillon could be found with each kid thrown over his shoulders (one over each shoulder) carrying them down the stairs so they could have their breakfast and be up and ready for another school day. Dillon was really just a big kid himself and the kids loved him for that. My kids knew when Uncle Dillon came for a visit he would spend equal amounts of time with them playing games and just getting down to their level on the floor and really just value them just as much as the adults. They remember Uncle Dillon fondly because of these memories. Thanks Dillon for being a great father to my nieces and an uncle to my two girls. You leave us with great memories and we will always remember you as a great guy who always had a happy and smiling face for us and more than a few good jokes and happy times! You are deeply missed by all of us. Your sister-in-law Kathy Gilbertson - Posted by: Kathy Gilbertson (sister in-law) on: Jan 09, 2014

  • Tanya, I have only very pleasant memories of you from grade four, I also have good memories of your father from grade twelve. I have only encountered a father-daughter situation perhaps once in my career. I extend the warmest of sympathies to you and your family members. - Posted by: Ken Watts (Teacher) on: Jan 09, 2014
