BRIAN C. TRACY (1952- 2014)
Born: Sep 25, 1952
Date of Passing: Jan 06, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRIAN C. TRACY (1952- 2014) It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Brian Calvin Tracy of Lac du Bonnet, on January 6, 2014. Brian was born on September 25, 1952 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his father Paul Tracy, mother Mary Wazny and brothers Craig and Keith. Brian is survived by his son Dayne, stepdaughter Leyan, stepgranddaughter Freya, stepgrandson Logan, brother Gary Wazny, sister Roxanne, and many of his numerous friends and "jam buddies". Brian grew up in Winnipeg and graduated from Transcona Collegiate Institute with Honours in 1970. Brian went on to university and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical) degree in 1977. Brian's engineering work took him to Northern Alberta, Chalk River in Ontario and finally to Pinawa where he worked for AECL until 1996. He later went on to further his studies to become a Boiler Inspector and worked a number of years all over Ontario and Manitoba. His son Dayne was born in 1995 and was the center of his universe. He took his son on many adventures which included fishing trips, nature hikes and skiing in the mountains. Brian had a passion for music. Every year he would take his son Dayne and attend every music festival he could. At those festivals Brian was happiest. He could talk (because we all know he loved to do that), listen to live music, sing, play guitar and spend time with his son. Boating, fishing, camping, hiking, astronomy, there was never a dull moment with Brian around! Road trips to Yellowstone Park, California, and the West were just some of the adventures we did. Brian loved all outdoor activities especially winter activities like skiing and would love to ski the black diamonds. Brian loved his "toys" and took great pride in them which meant they were always showroom ready. His newest purchase; a Lexus SC 430 hardtop convertible, was his dream car and took great satisfaction in owning it. Brian was always up for doing something and would always have an open door to anyone who wanted to come over and visit. Many days and nights were spent visiting and jamming in the garage with Brian. We will all miss Brian for he was a shining star' and his light will continue to shine in us as bright as Halley's Comet. We love you Dad/Brian and may you rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus until we meet again. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 11 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, followed by a gathering at the Sungro Centre. Just wanted to say my condolences as I happened to pass through this page. I work in hospice and I just wanted to pay my respects that though I did not know this man, I'm sure he's in a good place. - Posted by: Robert Jimenez (N/A) on: Jun 03, 2014

I was a next door neighbour to the Tracy family. Roxanne was a close friend and playmate in our younger years. She loved her older brother and was quite proud of him. I am here if you need anything, or just to reminisce Roxanne. - Posted by: Lisa Davy (Friend) on: Jan 10, 2014

Brian was an incredibly intelligent man, his love for his son was very plain to see, for whenever he would talk about him his face would light up. He was a very talented musician. So sad to hear of his passing. Our prayers go out to His Family. - Posted by: Brenda Kilmury (Brian attened classes I facilitated ) on: Jan 09, 2014

I remember Brian from the old neighbourhood in Transcona, probably going back to early elementary school. I never hung out with him but he was one of the local kids and I did know him. Over the years I’d see him here and there, he always had a smile and a hello and how you doing. I’m saddened by his passing, he was too young to go. - Posted by: Jeff Pitre (old aquaintance) on: Jan 09, 2014
