Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNELLE JOY WISNESKI (nee SLOBODIAN) In the early hours of January 5, 2014, our beautiful Lynelle slipped away peacefully with her loving husband Joel by her side. Her radiant spirit lives on in her beloved daughters Caroline, Jaden, and Katrina. Born July 4, 1967, Lynelle was raised in St. James. She was a quiet leader developing many friendships throughout her years of schooling. After high school, her sense of adventure took her to France with her best friend Joanne Clark, where they worked in the Au Pair program. She returned to Winnipeg, graduating with distinction in Economics from the U of M, 1989. There she met Joel, the love of her life and they married in 1991. Lynelle's passion for learning inspired her to become a certified financial planner, and later a talented day trader and investor. A number of organizations benefited from her strong business sense and analytical skills including V&F Transformer in Chicago, and most recently Veritus Disability and Career Management in Winnipeg. She also supported Joel in his career endeavors and working alongside him was a great source of satisfaction to her. Their first child, Caroline (1996), was born in Chicago where they lived for seven exciting years building a home and forming a community of dear friends. They returned to Winnipeg in 1997. The births of Jaden (2001) and Katrina (2002) completed their family. She was an imaginative, patient, and loving mother whose flair for the dramatic filled family and friends' lives with joy and laughter. Occasions became magical experiences with her incredible wit, enthusiasm, and attention to detail. She encouraged her daughters to participate in many activities, and attended their events right through December 2013. She was so very proud of their accomplishments. Her interest in following sports began early in life, with her favorite teams defining the seasons. She, along with her father and sister Joanna, became trivia buffs extraordinaire and rarely did a stat escape them. She was a true renaissance woman who could discuss any topic with great enthusiasm. She enjoyed a mutual love of the arts with her mother and sister Kathleen. Her consuming love, understanding and passion for her many friends was peppered with her great sense of humor. They returned that love a thousand fold. Lynelle was predeceased by her father Joseph Slobodian and is survived by her mother Ingrid Slobodian, sister Kathleen Clarke (Paul), sister Joanna Grant (Kevin), parents-in-law, Marvin and Carol Wisneski, Joel's brothers Jim, Robert (Chantal), and Chad (Kimberly), beloved nieces and nephews, Charles, Daniel, Allison, Gavan, Lianna, Michael, Kayla, and soon-to-arrive baby Grant, as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lynelle's fierce determination carried her through her illness. Many family and friends walked that journey with her. We are forever grateful for this love and support. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice. A celebration of Lynelle's life will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Neil Bardal Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). I'm blown away. I can't believe that you are gone so soon. I didn't expect you to live over 100 years old but you weren't supposed to go yet. I wish I could be with everybody at the funeral. Thank goodness we have such a beautifully strong group of friends that will take care of Joel, the kids and each other. Love ya, call ya later! *Sandy Silverstone* xo - Posted by: Susan Livingston (Sister from another mother ;)) on: Jan 11, 2014

So many of my favourite childhood memories are surrounded by the joyful times we spent together. We would perform skits for our parents (and there were times they even joined in). My mom still has a priceless picture of Lynelle dressed as Sony Bono. We played your new games on Christmas day (Don't spill the Beans or Don't Break the Ice) and enjoyed so many meals together...with the exception of the dreaded tomato juice. There were lazy days by your pool...where everyone of us could be "Aquaman". As we grew, our get togethers were fewer, but I believe we instantly picked up from where we previously left off. Good times of laughter and sharing. You were an amazing lady that I had the good fortune to be related to, but the privlege to be friends with. Forever, our step ladder cousin picture is changed as we are now missing our Lynelle rung. I love you and miss you..God Bless - Posted by: Arlene Prokopchuk (cousin) on: Jan 10, 2014
