LILY MITCHELL (nee PEILUCK) Lily Mitchell passed away at her residence at the Villa Youville, St. Anne, Manitoba, on January 9, 2014 with her family at her side. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill, and grandson-in-law Russ. Mom is survived by her son Richard and daughter Allyson (Garry), her grandchildren Aaron (Ildi), Melissa, Amy and Jennifer (Dwayne), and great-grandchildren Tie, Jarred, Taylor, MacKenzie, Jillian, Makeda, and Joon. Mom resided at the Villa Youville for the past three years following a fall that left her unable to manage on her own. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the Villa staff for their exceptional care and compassion that they all showed in providing a home for Mom, including Sister Irene for daily visits, words of encouragement, and providing Mom and family with so much comfort. To all of you a heartfelt thank you. To Andy, Brenda, Sue Joe, Michelle, and Karen, thank you for your visits and your support. As per Mom's wishes cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. To waken by the rising sun In all its golden splendor To inherit yet another day and wander midst the sparkling dew To gaze upon the ballet of a butterfly Become aware of birds and trees The scent of flowers in the breeze Enchanted by the setting sun To watch the flicker of a firefly These things so precious yet so free Man is wealthy as can be.
