JOHN FOSTY June 6, 1917 ! January 7, 2014 Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, John Fosty passed away at the age of 96, at the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Teenie, daughter Barbara (Sandy) Bowser, son William (Cindy), daughter Pam (Bill) Hargreaves, daughter Roberta (Miles) Mitchell, along with grandchildren Kelly, Tim, Sherri, Kevin, Brendan, Jolene, Jesse, Ryan, Sahla, and Danielle, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by beloved sons Larry and Murray. John was born and raised in Brokenhead. He and his wife, Teenie, settled and pioneered in the Overwater area beginning in 1947. This is where they lovingly nurtured their six children, dedicated their lives to grow and prosper their family farm and contributed to their surrounding community. Through John's leadership and value for education, a school was established in the burgeoning community. John's life was defined by his unrelenting work ethic, and his determined and self-assured nature. John's last few years were spent in East Gate Lodge where he received supportive and loving care in dealing with the progression of Parkinson's disease and dementia. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff at this facility. Please join with us in remembering and celebrating the life of our husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour, Manitoba, with viewing one hour prior to the service.
