Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH MITCHELL (nee MCEACHRAN) October 7, 1922 - January 9, 2014 Peacefully with her family by her side on January 9, 2014 Ruth passed away at the Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Alan in 1997, brother Harvey, sister Jean, brother-in-law Jack Bowman. Lovingly remembered by her sons Kevin (Dale), Dwaine (Lynn), her grandchildren Darcie (Jeremy), Travis (Carly), her brother Neil McEachran, sister Florence Melnyk (Bill), sister-in-law Dorothy McEachran, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge and to the nursing staff at Grace Hospital for their passion and tireless efforts caring for Ruth. A Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (4000 Portage Ave) on Wednesday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow. If desired, donations can be made in Ruth's honour to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. I will always remember Ruth's smile and her laughter. I knew her, her husband and sons since I was a little boy in the 40's. She always called me Jimmy and was a good friend to my mother, Mary.
