Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILLIARD LIONEL BURBANK December 20, 1923 - January 11, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hilliard Burbank on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Hilliard was predeceased by his wife Winnie in 2009. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Peter (Patricia) and Wayne (Kathy), daughter Faye (Ken) Lawson, grandchildren Sean (Jaime), Jason (Jennell), Ryan (Nicki), Kristopher, Adam, Shaun, Michael (Rose), Krista (Dawn), Carla (Robert), Matthew (Amanda) and Ryan (Jacqueline), great-grandchildren McKenna, Pyper, Evey, Valla, Cali, Ryu, Noah, Kiera, Elias and Jason, as well as many other relatives and friends. Hilliard entered the service in 1942 and served overseas with the RCAF until 1945. His theater of service was Canada, the British Isles and Italy. He worked as a Right of Way Agent for Manitoba Telephone System until his retirement in 1980. He was an active Mason with King Edward Lodge. He enjoyed sharing chocolates with his friends at bingo at Sturgeon Creek I. He was the Candy Man. A celebration of Hilliard's life will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
