EDWARD (EDDIE) MURASH 1935 2014 Peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Eddie passed away at the age of 78. Eddie was born on April 10, 1935 in Lowland, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Mary Murash, his wife Shirley, brother Mike and sister Tina Walchuk. Eddie is survived by his three children Bev (grandson Catlin (Kara)), Terry (Chris and grandchildren Brenda and Cathy) and Darryl (Geri and grandchildren Faydra and Michael), his brothers Paul (Dorine), George (Joyce), sisters Bernice Swistowich, Jeanette (Roger Chikowski), Betty (Chuck) Rochon, sister-in-law Joanie Murash, and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Eddie moved his family to Anola 35 years ago where he spent many years tending to his garden, and running his hobby farm. Eddie retired from Canada Packers after 38 years of service. He really enjoyed his days out hunting and fishing to which he was able to return to these past few years, and dropping into visit his children at their campgrounds. He always enjoyed visiting with the neighbours and those weekly trips into the city for the "family meeting". Heartfelt thanks to doctors and nurses on the palliative care unit at St. Boniface General Hospital, who provided the best care throughout his hospital stay. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 20 at 7:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E, Beausejour, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the palliative care unit at St. Boniface General Hospital 409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6 or charity of your choice, in Eddie's memory.
