PAUL REIMER September 8, 1930 - January 12, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Reimer, beloved brother of Erna, Elizabeth, Johanna (Peter) and Helen on January 12, 2014 at the Health Sciences Centre. He is also survived by three nieces and three nephews and their families. Paul was born in Winnipeg on September 8, 1930 to John and Kaethe Reimer who predeceased him in 1971 and 1988. He grew up in the Meadows/Rosser district on the family farm and lived there until health issues forced him to leave in 2006. He subsequently made his home at the Westhaven. Special thanks to the friendly and caring staff for making this a pleasant home for seven and a half years. He spent many hours discovering his new neighbourhood by walking the local trails and enjoying the scenery when he wasn't driving to the Meadows area. His Sundays were frequently spent playing Canasta with relatives and friends. The monthly check-ups at the Cancer Clinic were taken in stride - alas, the disease caught up to him and eventually took its toll. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
