Man I was so hyped to skate with you. I've seen you once but didn't say anything (definitely regret). Found you on Facebook we messaged all the time and you told me alot about your high school years. It sounded awesome! But we all have to grow up and you were doing that! "2014 is gonna be my year" is what you said and you were gonna do it for sure! Get a job, skate hard, film. You got me back into chopped and screwed music which I now listen to everyday like it's a religion. I gotta thank you alot for that. You impacted me alot even though we didn't even meet in real life. Gonna miss you bro, everyone is. Rest in peace Lucas. - Posted by: Matthew Klassen (homie) on: Jan 18, 2014

Best friends through elementary school, we spent our time playing N64 and trying to find good spots to skate. We drifted apart over time but there was never any bad blood. Wish we could have spent the time but it is what it is. RIP brother, Wherever your soul takes you. - Posted by: Brian Shankaruk (Friend) on: Jan 17, 2014

Lucas you are loved by everyone, you impacted soo many people's lives and well I hope now you can see that you have because I remember you would always say you had no friends, but on Saturday you are going to see different, I promise! I will never forget all our amazing memories together like our tickle fights and cuddles, you were the best listener and an even better man, I have never met a man with so much potential and I am so sorry you don't get to show everyone your awesome plans for 2014 but I know you were going to succeed at all your life goals and you were already on your way. Lucas you're ALWAYS going to be in my heart and watching over me because I know I wouldn't be as confident and strong as I am today with out you by my side the whole time, pushing me to succeed and to just be myself, I miss your laugh and your goofy faces, they always made me feel better, now in this time of distress I have you, just in my heart, you will forever be a huge part of my life along with your family, don't worry I am still going to hang out at your place and rate some movies with the fam, I miss you Lucas Paul Thorvaldson, Rest in Peace. I love you. My heart goes to your family and friends <3 Bailey Livingston - Posted by: Bailey Livingston (He is my Best Friend) on: Jan 16, 2014

Jake - I have struggled all night to find the right words, there don't seem to be any to express how I feel for all of you right now. I hope your closeness as a family helps give you strength in this very hard time. I am praying for all of you. Love Gloria - Posted by: Gloria Sawatzky () on: Jan 16, 2014

I will never forget the fond memories of Lucas. He was one of the most fun people to be around. He was able to effortlessly make everyone else have a good time . Thereafter highschool we may have lost connections, but our memories didn't. They will always play a roll in my life. Ps. Still remember when you attempted to teach me how to skateboard. You're the best. Rest my friend. See you again. - Posted by: Brett uskoski (Friend) on: Jan 16, 2014

I remember when visiting with my son Alex (4) when Lucas was about 3...he was so concerned that Alex was being unsafe riding the tricycle in the back parking area without me holding on to him ...he was quite upset...I thought to myself that this boy would grow up to be one of those people that always played it safe...many years later his dad proudly showed me a video of Lucas doing skateboard stunts and I realized how wrong I was about Lucas.
