SOPHIE LILLIAN CONNER It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of Sophie Lillian Conner on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the age of three years and eight months. Sophie was predeceased by her mother Karla Mackenzie, who loved her dearly and cherished the time they spent together. Left to mourn Sophie's passing are her father, Steve Conner, grandparents Chuck and Nancy Mackenzie, uncle Michael (Alissa), aunt Shawna, aunt Sarah (Allan), cousins Lise, Jonah, and Dante, and numerous other relatives and friends. Sophie loved to spend time at the park, play make-believe restaurant or school, and have tea parties with her daddy. Sophie loved going on "field trips" with her mommy to the library, community centre open gym, or to the mall for shopping and lunch. She loved trips to the beach in the summer and building snowmen and making snow angels in the winter. Sophie also loved the Disney Princesses. She loved every visit to her grandparents' house and spending time with her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sophie's extended family at her daycare also meant so much to her. Sophie was a beautiful, loving little girl who brought so much happiness to everyone she met. We are shattered that she has left us too soon. A celebration of Sophie's life will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Victoria Inn Hotel, 1808 Wellington Avenue. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the: Sophie Conner Education Fund, c/o Gillette Children's Foundation, 200 University Avenue E., St. Paul, MN 55101.
