ANN TAYLOR (nee PELINE) August 17, 1946 - January 14, 2014 With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ann Taylor, loving wife, mother and nana to husband Stuart, son Paul, grandsons Flynn and Owen, and also devoted sister to Trisha Reynolds (nee Peline). On a recent trip to Scotland Ann suddenly and peacefully passed away on January 14, 2014 with her sister and nieces and nephews by her side. She is predeceased by her daughter Lee-Ann, mother Bridget Ann, father Gerald, brothers Danny and Gerry, sisters Margaret, Rosie and Philomena. Ann was born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 17, 1946 and immigrated to Canada with her husband Stuart and son Paul in 1974. Daughter Lee-Ann was born in 1978 and was sadly taken at the age of nine years old. The family settled in the south side of the city where they reside to this day. Ann enjoyed life in Canada, she was a very loving, caring, sincere and generous person and made lots of friends along the way who remain close to her to this day. She enjoyed travelling overseas to visit with her sisters, family, friends and her best pal Mary Kane (aka: Sugar). One of her last planned trips was to Italy with her sisters. Ann recently purchased a beautiful residence in Largs where she enjoyed the time spent there. One of her favourite pastimes was bingo; she was an active member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed the afternoons spent with friends. The love and priority of her life were her two grandchildren Flynn and Owen who kept her on the go with their energy and activities. They kept her smiling and laughing heartily with their antics and the stories told made us laugh along. A celebration of Ann's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Father Gerald Langevin officiating. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow the service. Flowers are gratefully declined, and donations in Ann's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice. The family is very grateful for the messages of condolences and support on the passing of a beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, godmother, aunt, great-aunt and friend. Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Anne was my mum's cousin my mum was Betty Peline. I didn't know Anne had died or Rosie and Philly and have been trying to do a family tree for my grandson which is really hard on the Italian side so thought I would put in married names of people I knew when I was young , my mum has been dead for 30 years and that was the connection gone but I remember Anne and Philly and rose my mum always said Anne was a lady and she meant it in the nicest way she also said she was beautiful and I do remember that as a very young girl she was gorgeous and always lovely to me as were her sisters. I loved her mum beada and even stayed in her house in penilee when I was pregnant 35 hrs ago. I am sad to have found this tribute but I can at least show my grandson Anne's picture and a small part of her life. I only have a few memories of Anne but they are all of a lovely gentle friendly girl and to be totally honest my mum hadn't a bad word to say about her which was unusual as she wasn't the friendliest person in the family. Rest in peace Anne - Posted by: Anne mcadam (Second/ third cousin) on: May 05, 2020
