TAMMY GAY SAVARD December 30, 1964 - January 21, 2014 It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden death of Tammy Savard of Winnipeg, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 49. Left to mourn Tammy are her sons Robert (Brittany) and Bradley; daughter Kerri (Jordan); and grandkids Zermira, Vadea and Maloe; mother Rose; sister Brenda; brother Barry; and many uncles; aunts; cousins; nieces and nephews. Tammy had many struggles in her life but was able to complete her Grade 12 and successfully graduated from Herzing Career College. On Wednesday, January 29, 2014 Tammy's Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. She will be interred at a later date with the love of her life Caen McConaghy in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, MB. Special thank you to Concordia Hospital and all who have attended to Tammy's needs in the last few years. Tammy I wish I had the opportunity to meet you, Rob speaks of you fondly, and thinks you and I would have really gotten along quite, I believe so as well. it saddens Robert and I that your new granddaughter Mia will never have the honour of meeting you and having such a wonderful grandmother in her life. My little Zemira thinks of you often and talks about her alot. She says she would have been best friends with her and wishes she could have known her better. Zemira is a little chatter box and can talk for hours I think that's something she inherited from her grandmother. I knew Tammy Savard from growing up and going to school with her. We used to hang out and listen to our 45's and our L.p's..*Car Wash was one of our favorite songs to dance to ( :) ) with our friends. We lost contact for several years until one day out of the blue she turned up at my place and had informed me that her son was dating my daughter Brittany - I was shocked to say the least..watta small world. I also remember, sometime later, the time that we met on the bus and she was in the process of putting the finishing touches of getting her Metis Status. We talked about our kids Brittany and Robbie, who now are happily married with two children.It was very clear, to me, that Tammy wanted this Metis Card to benefit her kids for education and health coverage..She looked very vibrant and was full of good intentions that day on the bus..that's how the *real Tammy was. I hope that we can all remember that aside from *the issues, she wanted to do good for her kids and wanted to help to set this up-for them (Officializing their Metis Status)-for a good future for her children and grandchildren-this is how I will remember her..for this I know Amen..May you never forget this friends and family..and my condolences to yours/my family... <3 - Posted by: kathy lavallee (Childhood friend/Mother-in-law to her son Robbie Savard) on: Jan 27, 2014
