SHIRLEY EDITH REBECCA WILSON (nee DOUGHTY) September 6, 1936 - January 26, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Shirley was born in New Liskeard, ON and later her family relocated to Sudbury, ON where she met and married Randy Wilson. After traveling Canada for a number of years, they settled in Selkirk, MB to raise their family. Shirley devoted her life wholeheartedly to her husband and children. Shirley was predeceased by her husband in 1999; parents Whitney and Myrtle, and brother Jim. Left to mourn and cherish her are her three daughters, Kim, Deanne and Tammy; grandchildren Sharlene, Danielle, Jade, Lexa, Casha, Serina, Cameron, Jody and Austyn; great-grandchildren Kylan and Alex as well as two babies soon to be born; sister Pat, and brother Bob. Shirley also extended her home, love and support to her six stepchildren and grandchildren. Gerry will also mourn and cherish his Mom. Our heartfelt appreciation and thanks go out to the doctors, nurses and support staff of the Selkirk General Hospital for their efficient care and kindness, as well as Pastor Bruce Marten for his continued support to our family. In memory of our "tough little lady" please consider donations to CancerCare Manitoba and help our children battle Leukemia at 18882 donate. Mom, Grandma we thank you for the gift of life. You will be with us all the days of our lives ...until we meet again xox. Shirley's wishes were that memorial services not be held.
