SONJA WEISER 1950 - 2014 Suddenly, on January 13, 2014 at Concordia Hospital, Sonja passed away at the age of 63. Sonja was predeceased by her parents Franz and Gretel Lederer, her loving husband Siegfried and her special friend Oscar the cat. Sonja will be lovingly remembered by her extended family, Ron (Donna) Kohler, Ruth, Marie, Mary-Ann, and Peggy. She will also be lovingly remembered by her relatives in Germany. Sonja immigrated to Canada when she was a young child. She was raised in Winnipeg where she received her education. Sonja started working for Rice Sportswear as a young woman, then she started with Revenue Canada where she had a long rewarding career. When Sonja was a young woman, she travelled back to Germany, where she met her husband Siegfried. Sonja and her husband travelled extensively. Sonja had a passion for cats, tigers, and her collection of Steiff stuffed animals. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception to follow. If friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made in Sonja's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 338-7111
