Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUNE IRENE MARIE COUTTS (nee HALVERSON) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of June on January 28, 2014 at the age of 85 years, following a lengthy illness. June will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Gail (Jean) Ducharme, Robert (Carolyn) Coutts and Lori (Garett) McPherson, as well as grandchildren; Jason (Betty) Ducharme, Steve (Sherri) Ducharme, James Vermette, Sarah (Ben) Geller, Courtney (Kyle) Coutts, Cassidy Coutts, great-grandchildren; Zoe, Evan, Emma, Mikayla, Gabriel, Genesis, Will and Kelsey. June was predeceased by husband George, parents and siblings. In keeping with June's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in June's memory to the Alzheimer's Society, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2. Grandma, this lady was the one person who could see me for ME, never judged, looked down on me, she was always trying to help solve problems and she was good at it. I should have listened to her words more but I was a messed up teenager totally absorbed with my problems. She was strong, a true matriarch in her strong days. She was the glue that held the family together. I made a trip back the summer prior to her passing - it had been years since I had seen her.
