SHARON EVA THOMPSON March 2, 1947 - January 25, 2014 With great sadness and love, we say goodbye to my wife, our mother, grandmother and sister. Sharon's memory will live on in the hearts of her husband Jerry, her sons David (Kerrie), Gordon, Scott, daughter Kathy (Barry), and grandchildren Nicole (Barry), Braedan and Evan, as well as siblings Wayne (Ghis), Gayle (Ian), Jo-Ann (Henry), Debbie (Dennis) and numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon started her working career with Ford of Canada and ended her career after many years with Service Canada. She enjoyed RV travelling, watching the Blue Bombers, crosswords and was always available for a mean game of cards. Sharon especially enjoyed attending her grandson's school and sporting events. Sharon was always lending an ear or a hand to family and friends. She always put others first. As per Sharon's request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Sharon and I were friends for over 20 yrs. She was always there to laugh with, lend a hand, or comfort me when needed. She was like a sister to me and took a piece of my heart with her. I miss her terribly but I have faith I will see her again. My heart goes out to her family who was always Number 1 in her life. I'm here if you need me. - Posted by: Lucy (Gay) on: Feb 18, 2014

  • As tall and slender as Sharon was, her smile was as big and her laugh just as long. Sharon loved a good joke. She made dreary midnight shifts easy to do. The last time I saw her, she was in a walking cast waiting for Jerry to bring the car around for her - saying she'd have to hurt the other toe if he didn't come soon - with a twinkle in her eye. She loved Jerry and her family! I'm so sorry for your loss. The world has lost a wonderful woman, a beautiful soul. - Posted by: Cathy McCarron (Co-Worker) on: Feb 04, 2014

  • Sharon was always a dedicated worker who could be counted on as a reliable source of knowledge in the workplace but most of all, she was a great friend. I will always remember the candid conversations we had during the quiet hours of our midnight shifts. Rest in peace Sharon. - Posted by: Ward Bailey (Co-worker) on: Feb 03, 2014

  • Enjoyed many years working with Sharon, always had a lot of fun when we were on shift together. Our coffee group often raised the roof at the Jungle and often had to be told to shh. We will miss a wonderful person and friend. Each happiness of yesterday is a memory for tomorrow. - Posted by: Ray and Laurie Lowe (C0-Worker) on: Feb 03, 2014

  • I worked many years of shift work with Sharon. She was always kind and was a blast to work with. Hard to believe they paid us some days we laughed so much. My condolences to all of Sharon's family. She was a special lady for sure. Rest in Peace Craig Cottrell - Posted by: Craig Cottrell (Co-worker) on: Feb 02, 2014

  • Always enjoyed Sharon's sense of humour and good nature. She was fun to be around. Rest in peace Sharon. - Posted by: Kurt Quigley (Co-worker) on: Feb 01, 2014

  • Auntie Sharon I will miss you so much. Your laugh, your enthusiasm, your brighter than the sun personality. Rest peacefully knowing that you were loved very much. You fought hard and you will forever live in our hearts and memories. Until we meet again. Xoxoxo - Posted by: Raquel Bailey (Niece ) on: Feb 01, 2014
