MARION CATHERINE FLINTOFT December 31, 1958 February 4, 2014 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Catherine Flintoft, with her family by her side, on February 4, 2014 She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Robert (Bob); daughter Lindsay (Riley); grandchild Konrad; brothers Ross, Peter, Jim (Kathy), David, Ian (Tina); sisters Gail, Jane (Bruce) and Dawn (Donald); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her mother, Elfreda Flintoft and father, Christopher Flintoft. Catherine enjoyed working at St. Joseph's Residence over the last 20 years. She had also spent countless hours following in her mother's footsteps, preparing various jam and jellies for the Children's Hospital Foundation and St. Agnes Guild. She always enjoyed the time she was able to spend at the family cottage in Minaki. Catherine was able to spend a lot of quality time with her grandson Konrad over the last year and a half. • I too was surprised and saddened to hear about Cathy's passing. I grew up across the street from the Flintoft family and will always remember that Cathy was a balancing force in the Flintoft household. I remember her very sharp mind and quick-wittedness, and her great love of reading, often doing puzzles and playing cards and games with family and friends. I have regrettably not seen her for a long time now, but she will remembered fondly and missed nonetheless. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Flintoft family. - Posted by: Eric Roeder (Friend of the family) on: Feb 25, 2014

  • I was shocked to read about Cathy's untimely death. We worked together for 12 years and she was always a good resource for me when it came to computers. She had quite a dry sense of humour and her e-mail jokes were great. In the last couple of years I was at St. Joseph's, Cathy talked a lot about her daughter Lyndsey and her grandson - she was so proud of them. I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Sally Gillet (Former co-worker at SJR) on: Feb 12, 2014

  • I am so sad to hear that my longtime neighbour and fellow cat lover passed away before her time. We originally met through her cat, Mystique. She even tried to help find my cat when she found out he ran off. We will miss them both. - Posted by: Cary Coombe (Neighbour and fellow cat person) on: Feb 08, 2014
