Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOMENICO DI UBALDO June 24, 1954 February 3, 2014 With great sadness, the family of Domenico Di Ubaldo announces his sudden and tragic passing. Domenic or Dom was a gentle and kind-hearted soul who always sought to better himself, and to be creative and productive with the gifts and resources he was given. He built houses and also produced many artistic woodwork items. He loved animals and gardening, loved his land, his family and his God. Domenic was open-minded and always eager to learn. He left us all a wonderful legacy of giving and caring and sharing, and made the world a better place. Domenic is survived by his son Matthew Di Ubaldo (Andrea), his mother Concetta, brother Tony and sister Adela Torchia; niece Elizabeth Torchia (Paul), nephew Andrew Torchia (Ashley), and niece Isabella Di Ubaldo, as well as grandnephew Gordon, and grandniece Scarlett. Domenic's wife, Ethel, also died in the same tragic accident and is survived by her children: Tony, Linda, Leeann, Launi, Chester and Tim. There will be a double funeral for Dom and Ethel at Blessed Sacrament Church in Transcona at 710 Roanoke St. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. We were shocked & saddened to hear the tragic news of Dom & Ethyl's passing. We got to know Dom 3 years ago, where we contracted him to build our cabin at Pelican Pouch Lake in Ontario. His work far exceeded our expectations. We became friends during this process & hold the highest respect for Dom as a person & builder. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Ethyl's son Tony & Dom & Ethyl's entire family. Dom's memory will live on as we continue to enjoy our lake home that he built.
