Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCZESLAW (CHESTER) GASZYNSKI 1921 - 2014 Chester died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Left to cherish Chester's memory are his daughters, Grace and Audrey (Len); granddaughters, Tricia (Patrick), Deanna and Jessica (Gary); as well as five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Helen in 1985, and daughter Dolores in 2006. Born in Poland, Chester and his family were sent to Siberia in 1940. He joined the Polish army in 1941 and served in Palestine, Egypt, Iraq and Italy. After the war, Chester immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. In 1986 he retired from the CNR. Chester loved his garden, home and family. In compliance with Chester's wishes, there will not be a formal Funeral Service.
