Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHERBERT LEO EASTMAN Herb passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Gimli Community Health Centre, Gimli, Manitoba. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Halfdan and Una, brother Dori Eastman, sister Gudlaug, brother-in law Kris, brother-in law Victor, sister-in law Deanna and brother-in law Roy. He leaves to treasure his memory Anna, Gisli, Carol (Billy), Halli (Judy), Robert and Olive. Also left to mourn are his children, Darrell, Glenda (Marlin) and Tracey, grandchildren, Curtis (Tanya), Kyla (Chris) and Jordan, great-grandchildren, Emmalee, Alaska, Keyen, Ava and Khaysen, along with special friend Merle and her children and grandchildren. Born into a very musical family, Dad loved to sing with his brothers and sisters. He worked construction as a foreman for Marine Transport and Swing Boss for Sigfusson Transportation in Northern Ontario. Dad was also part of the first crew of Mystery Lake Diamond Drillers. An interment will take place on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverton Cemetery with a reception to follow in the Riverton Hall. Herb left us with wonderful memories of his musical talent (with his beautiful singing along with his brother Gisli, and once in awhile along with his sister Olive too). He had such wonderful parents and family too, who put up with all of us around the kitchen table listening to their music till all hours of the night. I have such beautiful memories from all those times at their home in Howardville. Herb was a gentle QCAQQtall fellow with a big heart.
