Dear Bernie and family. I was reminiscing just today about how much Rene changed my life. His desire for more in his life was the catalyst to our meeting. We found a commonality in our goals. He stretched out of his comfort zone. That stretch introduced me to an opportunity that to this day has changed my life and the life of many. I was blessed to meet and come to know him. I am forever grateful. The ripple effect is alive and well. You know how special he was and there are people that have never met him yet are blessed because of his actions. Blessings to you all in your loss. We send our love. John and Susanne Cunningham - Posted by: Susanne Cunningham (Friend) on: Jul 20, 2014

I remember Rene singing "Un coin du ciel"...some forty years ago at one of our house parties. I can still hear him sing and play the guitar; it was beautiful. "Un coin du ciel" ... from a corner of heaven, I'm sure he will continue to love and watch over those he loved. We will all miss his laughter and good nature. With heartfelt sympathy to Bernadette & family. - Posted by: Pauline Bourgeois (cousin) on: Feb 17, 2014

I first met Rene over 33 years ago, at a time when I was overcome by my own shortcomings and without hope. Rene was one of a few men and women I met at that time who were "there for me" and who with their love and carrying, guided me into a new and better life. I had not seen Rene for many years but I never forgot him and his selfless caring. My deepest condolences to the Dayon Family. I know he will be deeply missed. Be assured that I will never forget my friend as long as I live. May he forever rest at peace. - Posted by: Dale DdDaleDaleD () on: Feb 15, 2014
