Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD LEIGH HIGHAM Edward Leigh Higham, born July 9, 1926, passed away February 17, 2014 after a brief illness. Edward is predeceased by his wife Margery and brother Dick, and survived by sons Gordon and Tom (Barbara), brother Steven (Brenda), as well as grandchildren Jennifer, Katie, Shaun, great-grandchild Alicia, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was born, raised and educated in Winnipeg, attending the Manitoba Technical Institute. Ted had a 28 year military career with the 733 Communications Squadron which included NATO peacekeeping efforts in the Middle East at Camp Rafa, Gaza. Ted enjoyed many family camping vacations and later in life traveling with his wife, all documented with his 8mm home movie camera. Ted had a great interest in general history and in particular family geneology. Dad loved his family, always supportive of his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place. Many thanks to the care and compassion of St. Boniface Hospital staff.
