Shirley was predeceased by her husband Stanley, granddaughter Sinead, parents Gordon and Ann, sister Dorothy McKnight, brother Albert Campbell, and her niece- Lois MacKenzie. Mom was born in Greenwood, MB. She grew up with her two older sisters and younger brother in Greenwood. She had many fond memories of her childhood and loved to share these special moments of her parents and siblings as they grew together on the small farm. Her Christmas day memories on the farm were some of her most cherished memories. Mom attended school in Gunton Manitoba .She met our dad Stanley at a dance at the Gunton Hall. They married on February 12th 1955 and raised six children together while living in Teulon on the Zwarych family homestead. Mom worked at the Hosiery Mill part time in between raising her children. Later she went to work at Northern Goose Processing until her health no longer allowed her to work. After the passing of our dad in 1999, mom eventually gave up the argument and moved into Cedar Lodge in Teulon. She grew to love her life there and met and cherished the friendships she made with so many in the lodge. Health issues remained to get more serious and mom had to move to a full care unit in Winnipeg in 2011- Holly Family Care Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Teulon, Cremation has taken place.
