Date of Passing: Feb 17, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA ALEXANDRIA BERRY (nee DERPAK) April 27, 1924 February 17, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mom on February 17 at Concordia Place Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by our dad on November 2, 2000. Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Brenda Carson, Janice Doerksen and Cindy Sutherland. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, Megan and Victoria, Jeff (Hali) and Kevin, Leigh and Neil, and her great-grandchildren, Delaney and Layla. She was predeceased by her brother Wally, sister-in-law Edie, and son-in-law Jim. Vicky was an avid bowler, loved to bake, take care of her garden and yard, and go out on outings with dad. She was a member of Louise Rebecca Lodge #14, visiting shut-ins at various hospitals for many years. She loved when family stopped by for visits, especially her grandchildren. She spent many wonderful years at Spruce Sands with family and friends. Mom had a positive attitude and saw the best in everyone. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Concordia Place Personal Care Home for making mom's last days as comfortable as possible. In keeping with mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in mom's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice. To Brenda, Janice and Cindy and families I am so sorry for your loss. Vicki was one of my very favorite people. She was always so happy and always was a good friend to my mom and dad when we were neighbours. It was lovely meeting up with her again at the Concordia Place when I was visiting Bessie, my aunt. I am sure you all will miss her a lot, just as we miss my mom. It was also great meeting up with you, Brenda and Janice. Dawn's and my thoughts are with you. Condolences to the family from myself and my girls Karen and Kathy who were (and still are) Rebekah sisters when Louise Lodge closed in 1984. Vicki was a wonderful secretary and I also bowled with her at one time. - Posted by: Betty Borup (Friend and Rebekah sister) on: Feb 23, 2014
