Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE HIMICK (nee ROSOKOWATY) October 2, 1932 - February 18, 2014 Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital, Rose Himick, aged 81 years, passed away on February 18, 2014. Rose was predeceased by her parents; brothers Alex and Edward; sisters Mary, Nellie, Lill and Bernice. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, and cousins in Canada and the United States. Rose was born in Gimli, MB, the youngest of seven children, to parents Frank and Katherine Rosokowaty. She came to Winnipeg at an early age, where she remained for life. Rose was an avid traveller and she especially enjoyed her trips to the Caribbean, Fiji, Australia and New Zealand. She also travelled throughout western Canada and the U.S., visiting family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Husarewycz, the Palliative Care nurses and doctors, Hartford Drugs and the Knights of Columbus, who will serve as pallbearers. Solitude I need the quiet, no prison my bed, But a beautiful valley of blessing instead; A place to grow richer In Jesus to hide I need the quest, so He drew me aside. Prayers will be said on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., at Holy Redeemer Church, 264 Donwood Drive. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 12:00 p.m., also at the church.
