Born: Oct 28, 1948
Date of Passing: Feb 26, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFAYE ETHEL MAY MACMILLAN (nee WINDSOR) 1948 - 2014 It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother and grandmother Faye Ethel May MacMillan on February 26, 2014 at the Stonewall Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Neil "Sonny"; children Tammy (Doug) and Greg (Melissa); granddaughter Alana; brothers George (Vivian), Arthur (Cheryl), Glenn (Kanchana), Les (Diane) and sisters Sharon (Dave) and Gladys (Bob); sisters-in-law Christina Bowman, Alice MacMillan, Rita MacMillan and brother-in-law Ken MacMillan (Joan) and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom carried the memory of her mother Marjorie Windsor with her daily. Mom was born in Neepawa on October 28, 1948 and grew up and went to school in the Poplar Point area. On June 30, 1967 she married Dad and moved to Marquette to become his partner in life and work. Together they ran a mixed farm operation and raised two children. Mom had a soft spot for animals. Most close to her heart were her dog Penny, her donkey named Jenny, and a cat Oreo who wormed her way into mom's heart and her home. Over the years our home has seen a variety of canaries, budgies, hamsters, cats and dogs. There were a few freezing calves warmed up in the basement too. Mom spent countless hours over the years cooking, baking, canning and gardening. She liked picking berries in the summer. Mom was a hardworking, quiet lady dedicated to her family and extended family. She always had an ear to listen and was there for anyone who needed her. We were so fortunate to be able to take care of Mom in our home and appreciate the support we received from the many home care workers, friends, relatives and neighbours. Special thanks to Dr. Pinniger and staff of Stonewall Hospital who cared for her in her final days. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Stonewall Hospital or Meadow Lea United Church. Visitation for all will take place at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. MACKENZIE FUNERAL HOME STONEWALL 204-467-2525 mackhome@mts.net
