PATRICIA JOY MACLACHLAN 1955 - 2014 On February 23, 2014 Patricia Joy MacLachlan passed away suddenly and peacefully in her home while watching the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. Patricia, better known as Joy was born July 13, 1955. She was predeceased by her father Douglas MacLachlan and her brother Doug MacLachlan. Joy is survived by her mother Vi MacLachlan; children, Michael and Christine Larter; sister Helen and Bruce Newton, Jennifer and Derek Newton; nephews and nieces Sarah, Cameron and Lenny MacLachlan. Joy leaves behind her best friends Helen B, Maureen, Helen Z, Gina, Larry and Mary. Our mother was a nature lover; she shared her passion for sunny days, flowers, birds, rabbits and jumping in her beloved Toyota Corolla and driving out to Gimli with Christine. Our mom was proud and supportive of Christine following her footsteps at the University of Winnipeg. She was equally as proud of Michael achieving his Journeymen Electrician status and starting his own small business. "Although you left too soon, you spread more love and wisdom than most do in 100 years. We will miss your gentle calming hands, soft hearted soothing nature and you flashing your Colgate white smile." Special thanks to Helen Blonski, Larry and Mary Kachan, Joel Vertone, Bri Reid and Tyler Heshka in this difficult time. Services will be announced for a spring date. We love you Mom NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

  • Joy will be missed very much, her laughter, smile and her kind heart. She was a true treasure to have for a friend. We called ourselves the three sisters, Linda McNaught (the older sister), your Mom (the middle sister) and I was the baby. We would met for lunch as often as possible. It was always full of laughter, warmth and a lot of special moments. It was a time to share the smallest thought to the biggest or just those moments of just being around each other. • Momma Bear <3 None of this seems real and I don't think it ever will... you gave me every ounce of strength that I have to deal with this, no way I would have and on my own. I will become more and more like you every day, just watch. I see your face when I close my eyes and I will keep talking to you every day. xoxoxoxox - Posted by: Christine (Daughter) on: Mar 01, 2014
