BARBARA SANDERS (nee WHEELER) 1949 - 2014 With her loving family by her side Barbara Sanders, beloved wife of Doug, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 64. Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Doug, children Anita (Tim), Doug (Lisa), Reni (Jared) and David, grandchildren Danielle (Aaron), Kayla, Carley, and Joshua, and great-grandson Lucas. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Tom (Therese), Verna (Orville), Charlie (Katie), Sandra, Brenda (Larry) and Tim (Kelly) and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Mom liked the simple things in life and most enjoyed family gatherings, vacations with her husband, going to the cottage, and a great laugh. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 505 Brewster Street. Reception will follow in the church hall. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff of the Palliative Care Ward at St. Boniface Hospital and at CancerCare. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Barbara's name to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 338-7111
