RENE ARMAND GREGOIRE (GREG) GAUDRY May 8, 1936 - March 3, 2014 After a lengthy illness Greg passed away peacefully with his wife, children and family by his side. He leaves to mourn his wife Jeannette (Lamirande), son Lloyd, daughters Louella and Andrea, one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, brother Roland (Madeleine), sister Eileen (Tim), sister-in-law Leona, brother-in-law Raymond (Lillian), nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Greg was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Veronique, brother Neil, and sister Muriel. Greg was born and raised in St. Laurent. After graduating school he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where he completed a short tour of duty. He returned home and commenced farming and continued to do so with the support of his wife until he semi-retired in 2002 after 44 years of farming. During his semi-retirement, Greg joined the board of the Louis Riel Capital Corporation which he thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of the position and people that he met and became friends with. Honorary pallbearers are Roland and Madeleine, Tim Bruce and Eileen Gaudry, Leona Gaudry, Raymond and Lillian Lamirande, Don and Edith Kolody, Bob and Simone Ducharme, Allan and Lea Gaudry and Vern and Audrey Coutu. Rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church followed by funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Dr. Pannu and the nursing staff at the Stonewall and District Health Centre for the compassion and care they gave to Greg as well as the kindness they showed us. Until we meet again, rest in peace... you have earned your wings. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Palliative Care at Stonewall District Hospital.
