Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I have known the Alexander family since my early teen years and it has been like a second home and family to me. Through the years I saw Mrs A extend her care, guidance, and nurturing ways to every young person I ever saw her meet. She could be firm with us (in a gentle sort of way)when we needed it. It felt like she treated me like one of her own children. Her kind ways seemed to know no limits. I will miss her friendship. I will treasure the memories. My wife Laurie and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Alexander family. - Posted by: John Petznik (Friend) on: May 03, 2014

  • Sincere consolences to Ron and all the family. Sorry my card was returned by post office. - Posted by: Doreen Dew (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2014

  • Her husband Ron and I were members of the MTHA. Sometimes on one the outings he would bring his wife. Margaret was always willing to converse with everyone. I extend, to Ron and his family, my sincerest sympathies. Dennis R. Cavanagh - Posted by: Dennis R. Cavanagh (friend of husband) on: Mar 11, 2014

  • Mrs A personified the meaning of "Good Neighbour", but of course she was much more than that. I spent my whole life in or around her home and knew that my family and I were always welcome. She patched us up when we got hurt and she shared in our joys and sorrows. If Mom wasn't home, chances were good that we would find her at the "A"s having coffee with Mrs A. And then decades later, she welcomed my grandchildren into her home like they were her own. Mr and Mrs A raised 4 great kids, but cared for the people and kids of the neighbourhood too. You will be dearly missed, my good friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. - Posted by: Cindy Garofalo & Lloyd Cardwell (Friends and neighbours) on: Mar 09, 2014
