Dear Mr. Neufeld, On behalf of our mother, Hilda Rempel, we would like to extend our sympathies to you and your family. We have happy memories of visitng you when Mom ventured out east with a car load of kids. Thank you for your gracious hospitality at that time. Mom has so many fond memories of the 2 of you. You shared similar life experiences: attending the same church and youth groups, marrying within a year of one another, and extending a helping hand to Dad when he fell ill in his 20's. Mom is grateful for your friendship these many years and is saddened by the passing of her good friend. - Posted by: Shirley, Marilyn, Henry, Kathleen and Jeff for Hilda Rempel (Friend) (friend) on: Mar 12, 2014

I will miss Grandma and the many memories I have of her, including playing piano duets together, eating her cabbage borscht (which I grew to like), pluma moos (fruit soup), and zwiebach (always a favourite). Upon hearing of her passing, I ceremoniously washed my glasses at the sink with warm water and soap, which is what she would do with my glasses as soon as I showed up for our family visits as a child. Goodbye Grandma. Thanks for your humour and wit, and for the many memories I will keep forever. And Grandpa, thank you for being such a model of unconditional love and compassion, in sickness and in health. You have been an inspiration to your entire family and I can only hope to emulate your example if ever similarly called to care for an ailing family member. Dear Josh, sons and family, we are saddened to hear that Ruth's life journey has ended. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to the younger members. I remember her lively sense of humour and beautiful sense of style. A very gracious lady will be missed by her extended family and friends. Sincere wishes from Joyce & Bill - Posted by: Joyce (Giesbrecht) Friesen & Bill Janzen (Cousin to Josh) on: Mar 12, 2014
