Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMMA SHACHTAY (WIRGAU) July 20, 1931 - March 16, 2014 With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Emma is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanley; her children Norman (Doreen), Ken, Kim (John); grandchildren Amanda, Justin (Amy), Tracy (Carlin), Julie (Jason), Cordon, Aaron, Taylor, and great-grandchildren Madison and Zoey. She leaves to mourn many family members and numerous friends. Emma was born in Winnipeg but grew up in Woodridge, MB, with her many brothers and sisters. She moved to Winnipeg as a young lady and while waitressing, she met Stan. Emma was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Everyone was always invited into her home and there was a plate of food on the table within minutes. She especially enjoyed her time spent with friends at the cottage in Winnipeg Beach. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Emma's memory may be made to the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 338-7111

I miss you Grandma. Sometimes it's hard to remember you while other times your all I think about. I will forever treasure our memories together like singing You Are My Sunshine and helping with your wonderful baking. I love you and will miss you forever.
