Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABELLE PARADIS (nee PEAT) May 4, 1925 - March 19, 2014 Peacefully, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 Isabelle Paradis passed away at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall, MB. She is predeceased and will be welcomed with open arms by her sisters Barb (Stan) Cook and Gwen (Burt) Wetherley from England, as well as close cousins Jean (Hank) Paradis from Thunder Bay, Tom (Alma) Richardson from Winnipeg and Dorothy (Morris) Qualie from Kelowna. Iz was born in Winnipeg, MB and after the death of her mother at age four, was raised by her aunt and uncle Elizabeth and Alfred Richardson in Rivers, MB. After meeting Armand Paradis in 1944, they were married in Thunder Bay in the fall of 1946. They transferred to Winnipeg in 1957 then retired to Stony Mountain in 1975. Iz is survived by her husband Armand, son Peter, daughter Nancy (John) Makela, granddaughter Rebecca Walker, and her many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Stonewall, MB. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rosewood Lodge Personal Care Home, 513 - 1st Avenue, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0. Cheques made to Interlake Eastern Regional Health Authority, Rosewood Lodge Personal Care Home. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Rosewood Lodge for the care and kindness shown for Iz and her family. Our sincere condolences to Armand and family . Isabel was a good friend and neighbour , lots of fun and baked the best cinnamon buns in Stony Mountain . We were very saddened to see that Iz had passed away. Cherish all your wonderful memories of her. Sorry we will not be able to attend her funeral as we are still in Texas.
