Like Ryan said, we were about 14. Raddison met WPC! What a game changer that was. Robbie, Sandy, Robert, Brian, Ted. Throw in the odd French guy for colour. (Marce the Arse ha ha) What a collaboration of bad asses. How much fun did we have eh?! Robbie and I had a lot of close times growing up that I feel very fortunate for. I think we were all pretty fortunate to have the vast network we had growing up. Yay Winnipeg! You're forcing us to face our own mortality amigo and much too soon. I hadn't seen Rob much in the recent years but I miss him already. My heart goes out to all your family and close friends you've left behind. I was very sad to hear of Robbie's passing. Even though I hadn't seen him for a long time, I remember him as caring and sensitive, full of fun and always ready to bring a laugh or smile to someone's face. I have happy memories of him at Grand Beach, Beaconia, the Folk Fest, the quarries, Rosie's volunteer parties and flood clean-up (to which he brought his backhoe to help!)...Robbie, Pepe le pew...and Willie Nelson. On behalf of my parents, Alice and Ernest, who also remember Robbie with great fondness, we send our deepest condolences to Robbie's wife, family, and friends. - Posted by: Leta () on: Mar 26, 2014

My heartfelt condolences to Wally, Greg, Carol, Michelle, and all of your families. From the life changing "adventure south" to the frozen tundra of Commonwealth "Grey Cup victory" the timeless "times" at Lake of the Woods to the many "folkers" at Birds Hill. You made life "fun". I thank you for that my amigo, my friend, my brother. Love You. Miss You. (Pepe Lemange) - Posted by: Pat Truelove (Friend) on: Mar 26, 2014

Rob, what can I say. I've known you since we were about 14. All the fun partying/mischief was one thing, but the most fun we had was watching sports together and snowmobiling. (Ski-doo). When visiting Rob in hospital he wrote on paper "I've been laying here for over two months, tell me a funny snowmobile story." Love you. Miss you. Your buddy (Alfie Shmelfie) Ryan Alfred. - Posted by: Ryan Alfred (Friend) on: Mar 25, 2014
