Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY WIEBE (nee KRAHN) January 29, 1927 - March 21, 2014 Our much loved 87 year old mom passed away peacefully in her youngest daughter's home. Mom suffered a stroke in September and was recently diagnosed with cancer. Her wish was to die at home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John, her grandson Brent Gillson and her infant granddaughter Kalli Wiebe. She is survived by daughters Lynn (Gary) and Maxine (Randy), sons Kim (Glenda) and Jay (Valerie), grandchildren Trevor (Lindsay), Kelly (Michael), Erik, Kristopher, Marie, Andrew, Jordan, Tessa, Josef, Owen, Madison, and great-grandchildren Lucas, Aubree, Averie and Bentley. She is also survived by her younger brother Jake Krahn. Mom was fiercely independent, hard working, humble and forgiving. She loved family, Gary's cooking, gardening, church, baby apple pancakes, toasted coconut marshmallows, her soaps, hot fudge Sundaes from BDI, late night tea and chats. We will love her forever. Her cup was always half full. A life well lived. Special thanks to Dr. Hayward, Olga and the Palliative Care Team. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, CancerCare or the Humane Society gratefully appreciated. Mary was the tiniest lady with the biggest heart. She had a big smile for all - she was a very special lady. - Posted by: Brenda L. Stamm (Avon Canada) on: Mar 25, 2014

We will miss Mary at Grant. We so looked forward to seeing her and all her family every Sunday. Sadly we will not be in Winnipeg for her interment as we are still in Arizona. Please know we are there in spirit and offer all her family and friends our most sincere condolences. Mary was loved by so many but most importantly, she was loved by God who now has her in his love. - Posted by: Wayne and Susan Flaherty (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2014

My deepest sympathies at the loss of Mary. She was an inspiring lady. I will miss her wave as she drove past my house when I was sitting on my deck. I will miss our chats when my dog and I walked by her home. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her yard. A sad loss to the neighbourhood. - Posted by: Ilona orosz (Neighbour) on: Mar 24, 2014
