He leaves to mourn his wife of 32 years, Rita, daughters: Raquel (Adam), Rochelle (Christopher), Tricia (Chris), Rachel (Kenneth), and Baby Journey. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Raymond, Trinity, Brihanna, Christian and unborn baby, and leaves to mourn his brothers: Johnny (Sarah), Bruce (Nancy), Conrad (Florence), and sisters: Brenda, Joy (Riley). He will be missed by his many nephews and nieces, especially his favourite nephew Cromaro Flett. Philip has gone to be in heaven with his predeceased parents Raymond and Lillian Flett and Louie and River Flett. Philip loved to serve his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ by sharing his faith testimony through his singing. He travelled to many places to be a witness for Christ. His work at Native Addictions Foundation was most important to him as he believed in holistic healing to our people. Even through Philip's illness, he still managed to make people laugh. Dear Flett family and many friends, may the Lord give you His peace and healing as you slowly adjust to the 'temporary' absence of your dear Phillip. Isn't it wonderful to know, that in God's time, you who have trusted Jesus as your saviour, will be able to join him FOREVER, AND EVER! Wow, what a thrill!! I often bring to mind Deuteronomy 2:7 for comfort and the 'oomph' to keep me going through thick and thin. Also, I love reading and re reading Revelation ch. 21 and 22. It gets me so excited! Phillip is HOME!! I wish you well, and look forward to meeting you all one day when the Lord returns or calls me home. Rita, and family I share my condolences with you. I remember so well how you and Philip came to Sioux many times to sing and share the WORD. I also remember how you came to our book store and we were so glad to have your music to pass on to others. Rita, the road ahead may seem dark and long. And it is. I am finding it takes one step at a time. I wish I could be there with you celebrating Philip's life and say good bye. My prayers are with you and the family. - Posted by: Frieda (David) Herschberger () on: Mar 25, 2014

Philip and Rita Flett came to Berens River and were ministers at the United Church. Somehow during their time in Berens River, he brought our great-granny's sister into our lives. It was so amazing to find out we had a Granny .. we got to meet her and we fell in love with her. Philip and Rita became family to us ... he loved our Mom as his own Mom. He would come to Berens and kept in touch with our Mom for a long time until he got sick ... but our Mom would always mention him and Rita. She loved listening to his singing .. our thoughts and prayers to his family ... the Lord will comfort you during your difficult time. - Posted by: Isla Whiteway & family (family) on: Mar 25, 2014

We knew Phillip and Rita in Berens River when they were serving for the United Church. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends , especially to his wife Rita. Phillip had a sense of humor and we were always welcomed into their home. They treated us like family when they were in Berens. He will be missed by many. - Posted by: Tim and Donna Hoeppner (Friends) on: Mar 25, 2014
