LILLIAN L. HAY Lillian L. Hay (nee Rosin), widow of the late Charles C. Hay, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014. Lil leaves to mourn her sister, Edith Paterson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Emelia, her husband Charlie, sisters Ella, Wanda, Helen, Martha, Olga and brother, Walter. Lillian was born in Winnipeg and made it her home for life. She began her working life as a young woman, holding a number of positions until her retirement after many years of employment with the Manitoba Telephone System. Lil and Charlie were long-time residents of Lion's Place. Declining health eventually necessitated Lil's move to Golden West Centennial Lodge where she resided for the past several years. Lil enjoyed watching various sporting events, music of the weekly Lawrence Welk show, as well as visiting with family and friends but her greatest joy was following the accomplishments and adventures of her many nieces and nephews, and over time, their children and grandchildren. No one was more proud of each and every one of their academic and career accomplishments, sporting achievements, and musical pursuits. She will be missed. Thanks to the staff of Golden West Centennial Lodge for their kindness and care these past years. Donations to Golden West Centennial Lodge or other charity of choice in remembrance of Lil would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave (across from Brookside Cemetery).
