INGRID EDITH LAUBER May 2, 1934 - April 1, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce on April 1, 2014 our loving wife, mom, grandma and oma died peacefully at Oakview Place. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gerhard of 61 years, daughter Doris (Dave), son Harry (Trish), daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Chris (Lisa), Debbie (Curtis), Kristine (Rob), Nicole (Chad), Jamie, Tyler, Corben, Lauren and great-grandchildren Ryen and Megan. Ingrid was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and son Guenter. She was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1951 at age 17. She met dad and they married September 27, 1952. The following year Guenter came along, Doris five years later and Harry five years after that. Mom and dad loved spending time at beaches around Winnipeg, camping and travelling with the kids. For the past 29 years they have enjoyed spending summers at their cabin at Otter Falls. Planting a garden, tending to flowers, walking, sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine are a few of the things mom loved to do. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakview Place for their compassionate care of mom, during her stay. Cremation has taken place. Funeral will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 12:00 noon, Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carpet Fund, Lutheran Church of the Cross.
