My condolences to the family. George will be missed. We enjoyed his quiet disposition, friendly nature, always ready to tell a good joke, his quiet chuckle. My memories shared by many who got to know him over the years. - Posted by: Marty Kinamore (Co-worker from Agricultural Crown Lands) on: Apr 11, 2014

I was fortunate to work with George for 18 years. He was kind, informative and had a great sense of humour. My thoughts are with his family. - Posted by: leslie green (co-worker) on: Apr 10, 2014

Dear Nell I was sorry to hear about George's passing. My condolences to you and your family. George always had a nice smile for everyone. Remember George from work in the Provincial Bldg in Dauphin and your residing on Oak Street. We lived on Poplar Street and I believe our boys (Darwin and Michael) were close in age. May he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal. - Posted by: Rosalyne Monita (Friend from Dauphin Mb ) on: Apr 10, 2014

I am going to miss having conversations across the fence with George. I would say hi as I was working in my garden and he was making a trip to the compost bin. I would always ask George advice about what to do about my soil and my weeds as I admired the weedless grass he had while my yard had a nice field of dandelions. He was always very encouraging and you could tell he didn't want to tell me what to do, he just nicely suggested what might work better. We had two red headed woodpeckers on our tree last week and I texted Nel to tell her because they were making huge holes in my tree and I found it so amazing. George told her to tell Wes (my hubby who is a hunter of many things that make holes lol ) that those woodpeckers taste like chicken. Wes and I had a really good laugh!!!' Thanks George for all your advice and your smile across the fence. Maybe this year I won't have any weeds and maybe next week we will have chicken for supper. - Posted by: Laurie Zaleski (Neighbour ) on: Apr 09, 2014
