ROBERT (BOB) CRATE
Born: Sep 06, 1950
Date of Passing: Apr 06, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) CRATE September 6, 1950 - April 6, 2014 Peacefully on April 6, 2014 with family and friends by his side, Bob Crate passed away at the age of 63. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his favourite aunt and uncle, Dot and Bob Dupuis, goddaughter Gaylene Logan, special friend Sharon Menheer, and best friends Joel and Kelly Campbell. Bob was predeceased by his parents Lillian and George Crate. Bob was born and raised in St. Vital. In his early 20s he moved to Teulon and fell in love with the people and the area. While he worked at many jobs, he was best known as a painter who had a great eye for colour. Bob loved his horses and harness racing and just being at the track. He also loved road trips, auctions, gardening and puttering in his shop with his buddy Joel. It was a standing joke; no new project would be started after 3:30 p.m. as he could not be late for coffee at the corner with his pals. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Teulon Centennial Hall at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Teulon Hospital. I only came to know Bob for the past few years but he was a great guy who I considered a good friend. He was an important part of our coffee gang and his great sense of humor is sadly missed. My sympathies go out to Dot and Bob for their personal loss. - Posted by: Don Bean (Friend) on: Apr 11, 2014

Bob and I hung around a lot in St. Vital and when he moved to Teulon I went and dug some water pits with my back hoe as we had a drink or and Bob ended up on machine and fell asleep in it with me sleeping on grass. What a great time we had and he was a very good friend. Thank you Bob! Glen! - Posted by: Glen Smith (Friend) on: Apr 09, 2014
