TEENIE YASKIW 1925 - 2014 On Tuesday, April 7, 2014, Teenie Yaskiw passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 88. Teenie is survived by her daughter Caroline, son Anthony (Jennifer), grandchildren Monique (James), Damian (Judy), Tyson and Brittany, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Anne and Gladys, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Come and Go Tea in Teenie's memory will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Teenie's name to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 700, 10665 Jasper Ave., Edmonton, AB T5J 3S9. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 338-7111

I was remembering Mrs. Yaskiw today. I was not able to attend her funeral as I was out of province when this was held. Mrs. Yaskiw was the mother of my husband’s friend Anthony. She and I became good friends. We would talk on the phone and also she would have me over for tea. She enjoyed showing me cards and pictures from her grand-children. She always invited my husband and I over for her son Anthony’s birthday.
