PATRICIA KATHLEEN RAY (nee CAINE) It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our precious wife, devoted mother, caring grandma/nana, and proud great-grandma Patricia, who passed peacefully on April 6, 2014, with her family by her side. Patricia will be forever loved and cherished by Gordon, her best friend and devoted partner in life for 68 years. Their marriage was an inspiration to us all. Also remaining to cherish Patricia is her son Ken (Jan), their daughters Cassarah (Randy) and Brittney (Rick); daughter Patti-Lynn McCorrister (Merv) and their daughters Jennifer (Dwayne), Colleen (Wes), and Lorilynn; daughter Kathleen Smeltz (Kerry) and their son Steven; great-grandchildren Asher, Jagger, and Quinn; and brother Terry (Addy). She was predeceased by her parents Lillian and Patrick, her sister Eileen (Ernie), and brothers Larry (Myrt), Robert (Marie), Jack (Iris) and Norman. Patricia was born in Winnipeg and raised in St. James. Patricia, who was a beautiful person on the inside, as well as the outside, enjoyed her career at T. Eaton Company in the fashion department and was often used as a model. Some of her favourite pastimes were: playing bingo, card games, camping, trips with her family, and in her later years trips to Hawaii and Las Vegas with her husband. Patricia was a very generous person who was always available to people in need. Our heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Tuxedo Villa for making Patricia feel at home. Your humour and compassion will never be forgotten. A private celebration of life has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Patricia to the Alzheimer Society. Family and friends may sign a book of condolences at: www.chapellawn.ca. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • So sorry to have lost touch since 1980's in Calgary and last visit with Ken at our home in Delta, BC. Think of you often and your family stories bring back good memories. We are back in Alberta near Calgary in Okotoks. One son here and one son in BC. Our oldest son Kelly passed Mar 26-1995 almost 25 years ago. Our thoughts wander often to Calgary years. Love hugs Gloria, Gerry and Kev, June Reynolds who have two sons and they too are back in Canada. Love and condolences to you and family. Please write to email or look June up on Facebook. - Posted by: Gerry Gloria O'Donnell (Friends of Ken Janice) on: Nov 24, 2019

  • I have such fond memories of Auntie Pat, especially at Christmas time and her giving me a red sweater, I am sure she made it herself, and I cherished it for years. I still wore it when it was too small for me, and later my eldest granddaughter wore it. I still have this in my keepsakes. I remember laughing with her till my sides hurt. All of my memories are wonderful. I wish to send my deepest condolences to Uncle Gord and the rest of the family. You are all in my prayers. - Posted by: Wendy Caine (Niece) on: Apr 14, 2014
