Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUSAN MARIE DERRAUGH January 10, 1958 - April 8, 2014 After a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer, Sue passed away at home with her husband and sons at her side. Sue will be deeply missed by husband Verne and sons Troy and Jayse. She will also be sadly missed by her father Paul Kereliuk, mother-in-law Carol Derraugh, sister Gail (Jim) Formuziewich, and nephews Curtis (Manon) and Adam (Raimey). Sue was predeceased by her mother Mary Kereliuk, father-in-law Vern Derraugh and brother-in-law Bruce Derraugh. Sue was born in Steinbach and raised in Transcona where she met Verne. They were married in 1986 and resided in the Springfield area. Sue took great pride in raising her sons, her home, and the family honey business. Driving school bus for the last twenty years, Sue touched the lives of many people in the community. Her outgoing and fun loving personality was an inspiration to the many friends she made throughout her life. She cherished each and every one of you. Sue loved to travel and she travelled to many parts of the world. Her last trip, this January, with family and friends to Hawaii was another memorable get away where she was able to create new loving memories with the ones she loved. Thank you Sue for being so courageous and allowing us that time together. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Sue's life will follow at a later date. If family and friends wish, a donation to "Pancreatic Cancer Canada" can be made in Sue's honour. Memory is a way of holding on to the things we love, the things you are, and the things you never want to lose. As Sue said, remember to keep on dancing and please take me along. Until we meet again. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

My heart goes out to all of Sue's family - especially the boys - at this sad time. Sue was so very brave & courageous throughout her fight with cancer & still had a smile for everyone. Like yesterday, I clearly remember the first time Bruce took me out to Sue & Vern's place 26 years ago. Sue welcomed me with open arms into her home & her life. We fast became sisters-in-law & very good friends. For 10 years we worked our asses off in the bee business & boy did we make sure we had as much fun as we could possibly have & more! And boy did we have veritable feast at dinnertime. Lots of great meals were had at Sue's dinner table & I know she is up there cooking her heart out for everyone. Suzie-Q, I miss you big time my friend, sister-in-law & honey house partner. - Posted by: Suzie () on: Apr 23, 2014

Sue Marie Kereliuk was in my life for a short but amazing couple of years in the early 80s. She was so dear to me and it broke my heart when she left my life to find Verne again. Verne you are truly a lucky man to have had her in your life for these years and I am so sorry to hear her life has been cut short by this awful disease. I understand you must grieve but also please honour her for she was the greatest of gifts to you and your sons. To discover this news in a obituary, again broke my heart. To Verne and your family you were so fortunate to have her in your life. To Gail and Jim please accept my deepest condolences. When I moved to WPG 35 yrs ago Sue was my first true friend. We shared so many wonderful moments together. We were young and free spirited, we laughed, danced and cried together. Even after I moved back to Quebec, we stayed the best of friends and it felt as if we were never apart. Sue was more than a friend to me. She was my soul sister, my best friend. During this last year I admired Sue's strength and determination. Verne, Troy and Jayse you have been courageous and strong during this difficult time; taking good care of Sue and giving her all your love. My most sincere condolences to all of you as well as the Derraugh and Kereliuk families. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the the moments that take our breath away. May PEACE be with you always. - Posted by: Janine Mercier (long time friend of Sue and Verne) on: Apr 14, 2014

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sue. She was my bus driver (Bus # 23) in Oak Bank from grades 7-12. Sue always had a smile on her face; and was such a kind hearted person. I enjoyed running into her every now and then around home after graduation and catching up with her. Sue will always be apart of my junior / high school memories. My condolences to her family at this difficult time. RIP. - Posted by: Wendy Lindsay () on: Apr 14, 2014

Verne, Troy, and Jayce, We will all miss her so much. So many wonderful family memories- cards in the gazebo, swimming in the pond, Dorothy Lake, and visits in the kitchen while stopping for honey, and of course her beautiful baba's garlic. Such a beautiful lady. Thinking of you all during this time. - Posted by: Ken and Melanie Shumilak (Cousins) on: Apr 14, 2014

Verne and boys, Gail and Jim and family , The thought of Sue passing seems surreal. Although we only saw her at family gatherings and holidays, I have so many childhood memories of Sue that I will cherish. I remember looking at her when I was a young child, wishing I could have beautiful long hair and be just as pretty as my cousin. Sue will always be in my heart. I'm comforted in knowing that Helen, Matt, Mary, Nelly, Bill , Fred, Mom, Dad, Nick and now Sue are all catching up on the latest family gossip and playing Canasta. God speed my precious cousin. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Lea -Ann Pohl (Cousin) on: Apr 13, 2014
