LLOYD NORMAN INGRAM October 22, 1929 - April 16, 2014 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Lloyd Norman Ingram on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Lloyd was born on October 22, 1929, and grew up in Saskatchewan, to parents William J. and Sena M. Ingram (Haraldson). He was the middle child and sibling to Wilber and Barbara. Dad married Myrtle (McLean) on April 30, 1954. Over the next few years they had five children, Marilyn Ingram (son Aaron); Charlene Pruse (Ron and son Matthew); Pat Williams (Tom and daughter Tina-Marie); Cindy Ingram; and Kevin Ingram (Val and son Anthony and daughter Tamara). Dad's 84 years of life gave him many stories to tell. No gathering went without hearing about one of his adventures. He loved his horses and hunting coyotes. His family was important to him and he kept us all together no matter where his work took him. The family moved from Saskatchewan to the Whiteshell and then finally to Winnipeg. The majority of Lloyd's years were spent living in Winnipeg. After retiring, he moved to Petersfield and he enjoyed living in the country once again. Lloyd once again returned to Winnipeg, where he spent his final years, and he enjoyed walking his dog Lucky, performing his yard work, and maintaining his little garden. Lloyd was a determined (some would say stubborn), proud, hard working man. If there was a problem or conflict you could always count on him for his help. Dad was always there for all of us, either by physically helping or by providing a shoulder to cry on. His support provided us with the ability to make and live our own lives. "It's for my family" was something he always said. He always did his best to make sure that his family had what they needed and that they did not go without. Dad will be greatly missed but leaves us with so many memories. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle, daughter Cindy, his parents, and sister Barbara. A Celebration of Lloyd's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honour of his daughter Cindy. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • This was the kind man who had a huge hand in teaching me right from wrong. I called him uncle Lloyd as did my older brother Rick. The entire Ingram family was the good in my childhood, there’s just no way I could ever forget spending time in their home. I learned a lot of the much needed life lessons I’d had lacked learning in my own home. Thank Uncle Lloyd for ALL you did to help me & my mom and brother ♥️ Gone but NEVER forgotten - Posted by: Jessie Black (Friend of the family (foster child)) on: Sep 29, 2024

  • We are truly sorry to hear about your loss. We will always appreciate that he took care of Grandma. There are fun memories of Lloyd taking us pond fishing and driving us all around Winnipeg. May he be in peace now with our Lord Jesus. Sincerely, Charlotte, Margaret, Dominick and Matthew - Posted by: Charlotte Blasi (Family friend) on: Apr 23, 2014

  • Goodbye to a very nice man, you're with Jesus now. Say hi to my dad - Posted by: daniel walchuk (friend) on: Apr 21, 2014
