Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNI HEROLD Anni Herold passed away peacefully on April 17, 2014 at the Seven Oaks Hospital just shy of her 92nd birthday. Anni was born May 12, 1922 in Zichidorf, Yugoslavia. She immigrated to Canada in 1949 and married Henry Conrad Herold in 1950. She was predeceased by her husband in 1962 and raised her three sons from that point forward on her own. She worked at St. Joseph's Residence until she retired. She was a very strong, independent person who lived in her own home until hospitalized in March. She leaves behind her three boys who were her pride and joy: Ronald (Margaret), Frank (Donna) and Peter (Debby). Also her grandchildren: Jo-Anne Brookman (James), Paul Herold (Paula), Sherri Herold, Jeff Herold, Justin Herold, Christopher McIntosh, Brenna Herold (Ray), Cailia Herold, Nicholas Armstrong, Kieara Herold, and great-grandchild Jennifer Brookman, Alyssa Brookman, Taylor Herold and Ariyana Bell-Surette. Anni is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Lang and her family in West Germany. Special thanks to the staff from the fifth floor of Seven Oaks Hospital for their exceptional care. Mom loved to garden. In lieu of flowers consider planting a tomato plant or geranium this summer in memory of Anni or make a donation to a charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A private family burial will take place on April 24. Anni was a true Lady. As a tween I remember Anni, my Mom Lily, Gert, and neighbour Lee (next door on Anderson). The ladies would attend The German Cub on Wednesday evenings to see Miller Band or Mom and I would see Anni at St Joseph’s Church. She always had a smile, kept her home immaculate and was a hard worker whom we’ll remember with dignity and grace. Rest in Paradise Anni. You were a lovely person who made a lasting impression. - Posted by: Lily Kachur, Lori Sherron (Friend jog Anni) on: Mar 31, 2021
