Date of Passing: Apr 15, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRYAN WAYNE FRIESEN On Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Bethesda Place in Steinbach, after a long, brutal struggle, with his wife Ann and friends and family by his side singing songs of home going, Ryan Wayne Friesen was released from his suffering on this earth and was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father. Ryan is survived by: his wife Ann, sons Curtis and Leighton, two brothers, one sister, three sisters-in-law, and their families. He was predeceased by: his parents, three brothers, one brother-in-law, one niece and two nephews. Ryan loved and served his family. He was ready to help others. There was nothing he enjoyed more than interacting with people and playing the "Menno-Game" :). He enjoyed bonfires, desserts, winter, and candlelight. Ryan enjoyed serving in his church. He served faithfully in whatever capacity and opportunity came his way. He had a strong, quiet faith in God. Ryan was known as a hard worker. His work careers included: road construction, building construction, long-distance hauling, and agriculture. Ryan had a friendly nature and a very welcoming grin. He was an ordinary guy: unpretentious, even-tempered, faithful, graciously seeing the good in other people. To him, a flat tire was only flat on the bottom and a cup was always half full. The funeral service for Ryan Wayne Friesen will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church with interment to follow at the Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ryan's memory may be made to the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church Building Fund or to "Teach Beyond" for the missionary work of Kent Friesen. The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne and the staff at Bethesda Place in Steinbach as well as Dr. Darren Reimer for their understanding care and kind compassion.
