Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNICE JEAN BURNS 1932 - 2014 Suddenly on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Bernice passed away at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her son John; daughters: Pat, Shelly (Dave); daughter-in-law Jan; grandchildren Shannon and Courtney, and her sisters Margaret, Helen, and Joan. She was predeceased by her husband John; parents, Mary and Martin "Mike"; her son Ron; brothers, Stan and Albert, and sister Agnes. She loved holiday get-togethers, cooking, baking, gardening and loved her cats. A memorial service will take place on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). A special thanks to the staff of Fred Douglas Lodge and especially nurse Margaret and nurse Carol at Heritage Lodge.
